Voyager Estate is a family-owned winery located in Stevens Valley in the southern part of Margaret River, Western Australia. Established in 1978, the estate is renowned for producing elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from estate-grown vineyards. Certified organic since 2023, Voyager Estate follows a vineyard-driven philosophy, with every wine crafted to express the unique climate, gravelly soils and maritime influence of its Margaret River home.

Vintage Conditions

The 2024 vintage in Margaret River was warm and dry, following generous winter rainfall that provided excellent soil moisture. Early budburst and consistently warm conditions promoted even ripening, resulting in fruit with excellent flavour intensity and balance. Harvest commenced earlier than usual, producing Cabernet Sauvignon with vibrant fruit expression and approachable structure.

Winemaking Techniques

The Coastal range is designed to showcase the freshness and drinkability of Margaret River fruit. Fruit was sourced from estate vineyards in Stevens Valley and crafted in a bright, approachable style. The focus was on preserving varietal character, fruit purity and fine tannin structure while allowing the vineyard expression to remain at the forefront.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep ruby red

Aroma: Lifted aromas of ripe mulberry, cherry, vanilla and a touch of nutmeg

Palate: Juicy and fruit-driven with flavours of mulberry, plum and milk chocolate supported by soft, fine tannins

Finish: Smooth, balanced and approachable with lingering dark fruit character
