Sourced from the cool-climate Yarra Valley, this Chardonnay reflects one of Australia's premier regions for elegant and balanced white wines. The region's long growing season encourages the development of vibrant citrus and orchard fruit flavours while retaining natural acidity and freshness. The 2024 vintage produced fruit with excellent flavour concentration and balance, making it particularly well suited to Wild Folk's natural winemaking style.

Winemaking Techniques

A minimal-intervention philosophy guides every stage of production. The fruit is crushed and pressed before undergoing wild yeast fermentation on oak with full solids. Regular lees stirring adds texture and complexity, while minimal additions preserve the wine's natural character. In keeping with the Wild Folk philosophy, the wine is preservative free, vegan friendly, unfined and unfiltered.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Pale straw with subtle golden hues.

Aroma: Vibrant citrus, green apple and white peach aromas layered with hints of biscuit, cashew and grilled nuts.

Palate: Fresh and textural with flavours of citrus, orchard fruits and subtle oak influence. A creamy mid-palate is balanced by bright acidity, creating a wine that is both generous and refined.

Finish: Long and refreshing with lingering citrus notes, savoury complexity and a crisp mineral edge.
