Region & Vintage Conditions

Sourced from organically grown vineyards in McLaren Vale, this Touriga Nacional thrives in the region's Mediterranean climate. Warm days encourage the development of intense fruit flavours, while cooling coastal influences help maintain freshness and balance. The 2022 vintage produced healthy, flavour-packed fruit with excellent concentration and natural acidity.

Winemaking Techniques

The fruit was harvested and fermented using wild yeasts to preserve varietal purity and vineyard expression. In keeping with the Wild Folk philosophy, the wine was made without added preservatives and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Minimal intervention throughout the winemaking process allows the bold personality of Touriga Nacional to shine through.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Deep ruby red with vibrant purple hues.

Aroma: Lifted aromas of blackberry, blueberry and dark raspberry complemented by floral notes, spice and a hint of earthy complexity.

Palate: Medium to full-bodied with juicy dark berry fruit, subtle pepper spice and savoury undertones. Bright acidity and fine tannins provide balance and freshness while maintaining the variety's naturally rich character.

Finish: Smooth and vibrant with lingering dark fruit, spice and a savoury finish.
