Wirra Wirra Church Block Grenache Shiraz brings together the bright red-fruit character of Grenache with the darker fruit and savoury depth of Shiraz. Red cherry, raspberry and plum combine with blackberry, spice and subtle pepper. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, with juicy fruit, fresh acidity and fine tannins creating structure without obscuring the fruit. The finish carries fragrant red fruit, savoury notes and gentle spice.

Regional Character

The blend is shaped by fruit from McLaren Vale, one of Australia's important regions for Grenache and Shiraz. The region's Mediterranean climate supports ripe fruit development, while the influence of the Gulf St Vincent helps maintain freshness and balance.

Winemaking Techniques

The blend combines individual parcels of Grenache and Shiraz. Grenache sees French puncheon maturation, while Shiraz is held in stainless steel, allowing the two varieties to contribute different elements to the finished wine.
