Wirra Wirra Church Block Shiraz is a richly flavoured McLaren Vale red built around ripe plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit. Baking spice, bay leaf and dark chocolate add savoury depth, while the palate has a plush texture supported by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. The wine finishes with lingering mocha, spice and dark-fruit character. The wine is matured in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak, adding subtle oak complexity to the fruit profile.

Regional Character

The Shiraz is sourced from several vineyards across McLaren Vale, giving it a broad regional expression of the variety. McLaren Vale's warm Mediterranean climate is particularly well suited to Shiraz, producing concentrated fruit while retaining freshness and savoury character.

Winemaking Techniques

The wine is matured for an average of 12 months using a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak. This maturation adds baking spice, chocolate and mocha nuances while maintaining the wine's ripe fruit profile.
