Yalumba Eden Valley Syrah is a finely structured expression of Syrah with fragrant dark fruit, floral and savoury character. Blackberry, plum and black cherry are layered with violet, pepper, olive and spice. The palate combines concentrated fruit with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a savoury edge, creating depth without losing definition.

Regional Character

The fruit comes from Eden Valley, including an old vineyard on the southern edge of Eden Valley township. The elevated region and cooler conditions help retain freshness and aromatic precision, while the site's distinctive soils contribute to the wine's structure and savoury character.

Winemaking Techniques

The wine incorporates whole-bunch and wild fermentation, which contributes aromatic lift, texture and complexity. Maturation in older French oak puncheons allows the fruit and savoury characteristics to develop while maintaining the wine's freshness and fine tannin structure.
