Yalumba The Tri-Centenary Grenache is a concentrated and aromatic Barossa Valley red made from exceptionally old Grenache vines. The wine combines ripe red and dark berry fruit with savoury spice, earthy nuances and fine tannins. Red cherry, raspberry and plum sit alongside hints of liquorice, dried herbs and spice, while the palate carries impressive depth with fresh acidity providing balance.

Regional Character

The fruit comes from Yalumba's Tri-Centenary vineyard in the Barossa Valley. The vineyard contains some of Australia's oldest Grenache vines, planted in 1889 on their own roots. The old vines naturally produce small quantities of intensely flavoured fruit with notable concentration and structure.

Winemaking Techniques

The fruit is handpicked before careful fermentation and maturation designed to preserve the character of the old-vine Grenache. Oak maturation contributes subtle spice and savoury complexity while allowing the concentrated fruit to remain prominent.
