Filippo and Maria Casella, the founders of the Casella Family Brands moved to Australia from Sicily in the year 1957 and bought Farm 1471. In 1969, Casella Family Brands was founded. This place is now famous for Yellow Tail Wines. The Casellas produced their first wine batch in 1969 and their first vintage was produced in the year 1971. As their dreams bore fruition, from then on there was no looking back for Filippo and Maria. By 2013, a billion bottles of Yellow Tail wines had been sold around the world, amounting to around 10 billion glasses of fruity, delicious and elegant wine.
