In the late – 1950s, Maria Casella and Filippo Casella moved from Sicily to Australia in order to pursue their dream and start a small winemaking business in the Australian mainland. They purchased Farm 1471 and converted it into the Yellow Tail wine estate in the year 1969, thus giving birth to the Casella Family Brands.
