Fifth Leg Wines is inspired by an interesting tale based on an archaeological finding inside the Devil’s Lair Cave a long time ago. It was said that the fossilized remains of a Tasmanian tiger were found with a bizarre fifth leg. Not far from the cave is where the excellent Devil’s Lair Winery is located. Like the mysterious archaeological anecdote, Fifth Leg Wines never fails to surprise wine drinkers in every sip. Fifth Leg Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

One of their best wines, Devil’s Lair Fifth Leg Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a lovely duo of well-loved white grape varieties that will surely tickle your taste buds. Sourced from the finest vineyards of Western Australia, fresh grapes were fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks for three months to preserve concentrated fruit flavours and natural freshness. Stirring with light lees enhances the wine’s depth and texture to a more luxurious style.

Fifth Leg Semillon Sauvignon Blanc displays a pale yellow straw colour with lively tints of lime green. The wine’s nose is built upon generous aromas of litchi and passionfruit with complementing hints of red bell pepper and fresh basil leaves. Bright and refreshing characters of passionfruit and gooseberry create a silky smooth palate that caps to a clean and crisp finale.

This wine is a perfect blend of 53% Semillon and 47% Sauvignon Blanc. It is designed for immediate enjoyment of fresh and bright fruit characters while it can also last for up to three years with careful cellaring.
