Why Australian Wineries are So Popular Among International Tourists

Cheers to all the Aussie wine lovers! 2017 was a year of positives for the Australian tourism with international visits increasing by 7%. Since good vibes are contagious, we see them moving towards Aussie wineries in 2018 as well. But why have so many international tourists begun showing thumbs-up for Australian wineries of late? Let’s take a look at a few of the possible reasons!

International Australian Wine Campaigns

At the Super Bowl 2018, Tourism Australia took a great step of promoting Aussie wines and wineries in the USA. Its amazing 'There’s Nothing Like Australia' campaign was a big hit. It created a buzz, supercharging the tourism coming from the USA. Another event ‘Australia Day Tastings 2018’, was held this March to promote Aussie wines in the UK. Emerging international markets like China are also hosting special programs to trade gracefully. Altogether, continuous efforts by the Australian government and popular Aussie wine brands continue to play a major role in building a stronger tourism platform. Most of it is intended to benefit the ever bright and picturesque Australian wineries.

Because Numbers Talk

Well, we love facts and figures! Recent numbers state that Australian wineries are most visited by China, the United Kingdom and the USA. According to Tourism Research Australia, international visitors spent a total of $41.2 billion in Australia in the year ending September 2017. This is an increase of 6% from where it stood last year. After all, good numbers attract good customers, and good customers are attracted by good services.

Reviews Matter

Tourists who visit Australia are never shy to share their reviews (mostly positive) on food, wine and visits to Aussie wineries. This, in turn, encourages many more from around the world to visit Australian wineries, vineyards, and, of course, try the captivating Aussie wines.
