Drift Wines: Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir

Drift Vineyards are located in lovely terrains of North East South Island in New Zealand. They are considered as one of the most precious gems of this region as they experience perfect climate and boast of excellent soil cover for vine growing. Historic glacial movements are responsible for the great terrier of this area which is enhanced by amazingly cool nights that are not experienced by other vineyards around. These brilliant conditions lead to rich harvests that result in wines that boast of beautiful regional character and lush flavours.

Fruit used to craft Drift Wines largely comes from the Marlborough region though at times surrounding wine areas also contribute. One thing is sure that no matter where the grapes come from, they are of great quality resulting in wines with distinct New Zealand characters. Also, minimal intervention in the vineyards makes sure to seal originality and true joy in each bottle of Drift wines.

Though Drift Wines makes three exciting drinks, Drift Pinot Noir is an all time favourite from this estate. Every bottle of this wine, vintage after vintage, promises divine flavours and beautiful length. It is rich garnet in colour with lush aromas of ripe plums and cherries. The palate boasts of raspberries and other red fruit flavours along with some spice, adding complexity and depth. Drift Pinot Noir enjoys smooth tannins and a refreshing acidity. Enjoy this wine while it is fresh and young with red sauce pastas, bruschettas, grilled lamb, poached salmon, tuna and braised duck etc.
