Langton’s witnessed humble beginnings in 1988, starting in the city of Melbourne as a specialist wine auction house. In a span of just three decades, it has risen to become a major force in the fine wine market of the Australian wine industry. Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine is a list of the finest Aussie wines compiled by Langton’s. It is a ranking of the wines that have performed the best, based on secondary market support over 10 or more vintages. This Langton's Classification has been divided into 3 categories – Exceptional, Outstanding & Excellent. The wines in the Exceptional range currently include –
