The property was acquired by the famous Cumming family in 1989 and they introduced Water Wheel to a whole new world of winemaking techniques and technologies. The estate covers about 300 acres of well - maintained vineyards that yield rich, high - quality fruit displaying exquisite characters that every wine - lover craves for.
Modern and reliable winegrowing techniques that the Water Wheel winery has enforced include hedge trellising, limiting the number of buds per vine to 20, ideal vine spacing and monitoring red clay soil with fragments of limestone.

To create this elegant wine, freshly - harvested grapes are quickly transported to the winery and subjected to malolactic fermentation as well as maturation in new, lightly - seasoned American oak hogsheads. 9 to 12 months later, this delicious and marvelous wine is ready to be bottled and sold.
