Peter Lehmann Wines was established by Peter Lehmann in 1979 with the aim to help his fellow grape growers in the Barossa region. With over 140 vignerons joining hands with Peter, their revolutionary movement took the Barossa region by storm, consequently producing some of the best wine varietals and blends in all of Australia.
The 2013 vintage was one of the quickest and driest harvests in the last few years. Although yield was low, the fruit was vibrant and rich, resulting in the creation of this deep red coloured 2013 Portrait Barossa Shiraz. Bold fragrances of dark forest fruits flow off the scintillating bouquet, followed closely by hints of chocolate and vanilla. The full-weighted and intense palate is filled with ripe fruit flavours that mesh with the soft and juicy tannins to end in a graceful and lengthy finale. This elegant red wine can either be consumed fresh upon release, or be cellared for approximately 5 to 10 years. With 14.5% of alcohol, this delightful Shiraz is a great match to steak, roast beef, barbecued quail and cheddar.
