Located in the Clare Valley region of SA, the Wilson Vineyard is a highly-rated winery established by John and Pat Wilson. It’s currently managed by the second generation, Daniel Wilson, who’s also the company’s winemaker. The brand is known for crafting small batch wines with minimal handling and minimal preservatives.

TASTING NOTES:

Crafted using traditional winemaking techniques, this Cab Sav flaunts a deep red colour. A Bordeaux-style varietal wine, it exudes plum, cassis, spice, tobacco leaf and subtle green stalky aromas. These fragrances are followed by a medium- to full-bodied palate revealing flavours of mulberry and sweet cassis along with a touch of spice. Complemented by an impressive structure from the French oak, these elements eventually culminate into a lingering finish. You may enjoy it young or allow it develop further for a few years. It’s a great match for Asian-style pork chop, grilled marinated flank steak, and aged cheese.
