Swan Valley is a sub-region within the Greater Perth zone and holds a vast history dating back to nearly 200 years. With the first vines planted at Olive Farm in 1830 by Thomas Waters, the Swan Valley has shown a consistent growth over the two centuries, making it an established grape-growing region of Western Australia.
Bathed in sunshine and showing a pleasant weather for most of the year, Swan Valley is a haven for winemakers. Summers are mostly bright here. Most of the rains occur during winter, making the season slightly colder. The amazing climate conditions and rich soil help in producing a huge variety of wine grapes. Swan Valley wineries produce some of the finest wines of this country.
