The region is based between 500 and 900 metres above the sea level as a part of the Great Dividing Range, with its vineyards positioned at about 700 metres in altitude. Popular for its cool temperate climate, Southern Highlands is moist and humid with evenly distributed rainfall occurring throughout the year.
