One of Western Australia's most diverse and captivating wine regions, Geographe is home to world-class food and a unique wine culture. It is a part of the South West Australia zone and is widely recognised for its premium grapes. The region is exposed to excessively warm temperatures that change with the south-west sea breezes coming from the Indian Ocean.

Summers at Geographe are mostly dry but high relative humidity prevails within the region, while rainfall dominates the winters. The traditional farming and orchard land soils are rich, being either gravelly sandy loams or heavier soils and coastal tuart sands feature limestone. A permanent water table at a depth of 3-15 metres is a relief for viticulture. The climate influences and soil together make the best environment for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Shiraz grape varieties.
