Among the finest vintages that the winery has ever produced is the 2014 Zilzie Selection 23 Cabernet Merlot. This full-bodied wine is made from finest parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes were harvested at maximum maturity to achieve richer fruit flavours and supple tannins. The fruit was fermented for one week before soft-pressing and aging the wine in French oaks for four months.
Selection 23 Cabernet Merlot is deep crimson in colour with hues of red. Rich dark plum and ripe blackcurrant characters build the aroma of this wine. Spices and subtle oak add more excitement to the bouquet. The wine’s palate is dominated by varietal plum and dark berries.
