: The August Sauvignon Blanc displays a pale straw colour with vibrant green hues along the rim. The attractive bouquet exhibits intense aromas of ripe peach, citrus and dry herbs. The luscious and succulent palate is rife with exquisite fruit flavours, dry spice and intense savoury nuances. These elements, balanced and supported by a layer of ‘hot rock’ minerality, offer a firm texture and lengthy finish. It tastes wonderful with artichokes, asparagus, cilantro and goat cheese.

The winemaking team at Giesen Wines believes in crafting an exceptional range of elegantly styled wines that people would want to enjoy over good food and with great company. The Giesen brothers wanted to showcase the complex and multi-dimensional characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc unique to the Marlborough region through this wine. The August 1888 varietal was named after their grandfather and distinguished sommelier – August.
