: This red is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet (8%) and Merlot (2%). It was matured for 8 months in Italian Gamba oak puncheons and old French oak barrels. The result is a medium coloured wine offering fresh, lifted aromas of sweet plums, red cherries and crushed violets along with fennel and chalk dust notes. A sip of this lovely drink reveals a medium- to full-bodied palate with savoury notes complemented by dried plum, red berry, and subtle cassis & tobacco flavours. These characteristics seamlessly pave way for a lingering finish marked by supple tannins. It’s a great match for pasta with meat sauce, roasted pork, or lamb chops.
