Pretty Good

: The Reuben is a stylish blend of 2% Shiraz, 9% Malbec, 13% Cabernet Franc and 19% Merlot grapes with 57% Cab Sauv grapes. These fruit parcels were harvested and fermented. Post maturation in French oak barriques and hogsheads, the wine offers a deep ruby hue with a bright rim. The aromatic bouquet gives off lifted scents of plum and poached rhubarb, with subtle hints of leatherwood, oak and spicy liquorice lurking throughout. The structured palate contains fruity flavours of raspberries and fresh loganberries, coupled with spicy and savoury undertones. The finale is lengthy and captivating. This mouth watering red blend from Paracombe Wines has the potential to be cellared for many years. It tastes fantastic with veal rack on potato gratin with mixed mushroom ragout.
