Rutherglen Estates Shiraz displays a medium to deep red colour. The perfumed nose flaunts vibrant aromas of blackberry, liquorice, plummy fruits, and toasted nutmeg spices. A sip of the wine reveals balanced flavours of ripe dark berries and peppery green spices. These beautiful characters are supported by elegant tannins on the tight palate, offering a soft mouthfeel. The finale is firm and spicy. With a cellaring potential of 5 years, this dazzling Shiraz tastes excellent with roasted or grilled beef, served rarely or with a peppery sauce and Cheddar cheese.

WINERY INFORMATION

Rutherglen Estates produces innovative ranges of intensely flavoured, regional wines using premium fruit parcels sourced from their 185ha in-house vineyards. These delicious wines are crafted in the estate’s state-of-the-art winery, situated along Murray Valley Highway, just 7km away from the township of Rutherglen. Accomplished winemaker Marc Scalzo has been supervising the winery and its overall winemaking operations since 2008.
