Pretty Good

A dry style of Rose crafted with Pinot Noir, this wine is another great number from De Bortoli. It has a pale salmon pink colour. The bouquet of this wine displays musk, honey, red fruits, classic strawberry and hints of rose petals. It has a mouth filling palate that is dry and savoury with nuances of candied violets and juicy berries. Wild yeast fermentation gives it a brilliant texture and complexity. It is ready for immediate consumption and can also be cellared for up to 3 years. Pair it with smoked salmon, turkey, light pasta and rice etc.

Review for Vintage 2016

The gorgeous label really does say it all. The wine’s colour is a delicate pink salmon hue, the merest blush of colour. The polished silk texture comes from the ferment in small casks with indigenous yeast and some malolactic fermentation. The La Bohème labels are fashioned after Alphonse Mucha and those fabulous Art Nouveau posters that bring to mind nostalgic French advertisements. Fitting really, as the Act Two is inspired by those textural, pale dry rosés from Provence. The body is lighter & it is most assuredly dry and refreshing. Not just for spring or summer, Act Two has a versatile heart. It is a wine for anytime, any occasion.
