The fruit for this tempting Cab Sauv was sourced from the vineyard site near Mount Benson. Mammoth Cabernet is an elegant fusion of 10% Merlot grapes with 90% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The resulting blend shows a medium brick red colour. A swirl of the glass offers mesmerising scents of blackcurrants, red berries, tobacco leaf, and forest floor. The fruit-driven palate contains vibrant flavours of plums, berries and cassis, coupled with leafy notes. Fine tannins and bright acidity drives the mouth-filling palate to a lengthy finish. This wonderful Cab Sauv has been crafted for immediate consumption, but can also be cellared for 5 years from vintage. It is a great food accompaniment to roasted duck, mushroom risotto, and a variety of Moroccan dishes.
