: When poured in a glass, this wine has a delicate light pink color with a hint of salmon. The aromatics are very fine, clean and delicate. The flavours are of fruity red berries, floral/ rose petal notes and Asian space. The palate is a wonderful balance of this wine with subtle juiciness at the front, the seamless mid palate and pin point acidity on the finish coming together as one. The light silky texture and great flavour makes this a very drinkable wine indeed. Savour it best with Atlantic salmon, pan seared scallops, tuna sushimi , BBQ vegetable skewers or soft goat cheese.

WINERY INFORMATION:

Geoff Merrill released the first label in 1983 with his name including a 1980 Cabernet and 1981 Semillon. With a view to establish his own operation, he purchased the beautiful but run-down Mount Hurtle Winery in 1985 and after restoring the property to its full potential, Geoff left to embark on his own venture in 1988. His signature style took his winemaking career to the international stage in 1993. Since then, Geoff continues to gain national and international recognition for his distinctive style of winemaking and zest for life.
