Giesen is a reputed wine estate located in Christchurch in New Zealand. It was established by three brothers – Alex, Theo and Marcel Giesen. Disappointed with the unavailability of a varied collection of wines in a local wine shop, the Giesen brothers decided to create their own range of cool climate wines. Subsequently, they purchased their first plot of land in Burnham on the outskirts of Christchurch, to plant their vineyard.
