This deep violet hued Merlot is an attractive and flavoursome wine giving off aromas of dark cherries and blackberries from its nose, accompanied by subtle nuances of liquorice and herbs. This Merlot has a delicate, medium-bodied palate that is flooded with plum, cherry and blackcurrant flavours. Spicy oak, stewed rhubarb and complex vanilla characters balance out the intense fruit flavours, leading to a toasty oak finale with undertones of silky tannins and delicate acidity. It is a perfect companion to spaghetti Bolognese and also pairs well with lamb and duck cuisines.
