: Henschke Julius Riesling is a pale gold coloured wine displaying a bright lime yellow rim. The luxurious bouquet exhibits vibrant aromas of kaffir lime leaf, citrus blossom, lime zest and bath salts, with pleasing scents of lemon grass, stone fruit and green peppercorn following close behind. The palate is rich and intense, brimming with juicy flavours of green peppercorn, ripe citrus and zesty lime, and supported by a clean layer of refined minerality and acidity. These concentrated elements culminate in a tight and lengthy finish. This full flavoured Riesling has the potential to be cellared for 25 or more years from vintage. Drink it with blue swimmer crab with salmon roe, and you won’t be disappointed.

WINERY INFORMATION:

Henschke is a family owned and operated wine estate established by Johann Christian Henschke. In 1862, Johann purchased a plot of land in the Keyneton district of Eden Valley and planted his first vineyard with the help of his son, Paul Gotthard. He launched his first commercial vintage in 1868.
