Pretty Good

Pirramimma Stock's Hill Shiraz features a dark red colour with rich purple tints. The luxurious bouquet exhibits mesmerising scents of Satsuma plum, mulberry, liquorice and cedar. The rich and structured palate packs flavours of raspberry, cinnamon, black cherry, dark chocolate and spice, coupled with undertones of pepper, vanilla and toasted oak. These vibrant characters are supported by fine tannins, culminating in a satisfying finish. Made for consumption upon release, this stunning Shiraz can also be cellared for few years from vintage. It is a great food accompaniment to foods like gyros, eye fillet beef and cauliflower steaks with olive and herb salsa.

WINERY INFORMATION

Founder Alexander C. Johnston purchased a 97ha farmland situated southeast of the then emerging village in McLaren Vale in 1892 and established the Pirramimma wine company. He named the company after the aboriginal phrase Pirramimma, which referred to the moon and the stars in the local language. With over 125 years of winemaking experience, the Johnston family continues to produce vibrant, expressive and elegant wines under the supervision of accomplished winemaker, Geoff Johnston.
