The ripe fruit for this impressively-balanced wine was sourced entirely from the estate. In a glass, it features a dark purple colour with a pink hue. Offering good aromatic intensity, its fragrant bouquet emanates red berry and cassis scents, with a hint of floral perfume. Cedar nuances from oak maturation add to the nose, which in turn seamlessly leads to a palate exhibiting a firm structure. The distinctive varietal flavours are carried through to the finish by fine tannins. Serve this wonderful red wine with Gouda cheese, slow cooker beef stew, or slow roast leg of lamb.

WINERY INFORMATION

Based in the cool climate wine region of Orange in NSW, Printhie is a James Halliday 5 star rated winery. Owned and managed by the Swift family, it was established in 1996. Jim and Ruth Swift joined the industry with the planting of 12 hectares of grapevines. Their sons Ed and Dave look after day-to-day business operations now, while Jim and Ruth have taken up the roles of Special Project Managers.
