Vineyard - Chateau Reynella is where the prominence of South Australia’s wine industry began. In 1838, John Reynell planted the first vines in this infant colony, making it the oldest operating winery in Southern Australia. The first vintage they produced was in 1842. Through the years, despite the many changes in management, Chateau Reynella has been steadfast in its commitment to produce premium quality wines.
Winemaking - Reynella Shiraz was allowed to mature for 16 months in French oak barrels.
