: Winemaker Jacob has done wonders with the 2014 vintage, producing this exceptional Chardonnay wine. 80% of the fruit was tank fermented on high lees while the remaining grapes were barrel fermented using wild yeasts. Partial malolactic fermentation followed, which gave the wine complexity, intensity and structure. The result is a modern-styled Chardonnay displaying a pale straw colour with light green hues. Blissful aromas of peach, grapefruit and citrus flow from its attractive nose, while the rich and juicy palate depicts concentrated fruit flavours that lead to a cleansing finish and a pleasing mouthfeel. Foods like creamy vegetable soups, pastas, risottos and fish pates pair well with this elegant white wine varietal.
