Pretty Good

: Shiraz grapes used to craft this varietal were selected from premium vineyards in the McLaren Vale wine region, warm fermented in static fermenters on skins for about 2 weeks, gently pressed off skins using airbag press, and finally subjected to malolactic fermentation. Oak maturation took place in a combination of new as well as old American, European and French oak barriques. This RockBare Shiraz presents a vivid purple colour, with bright violet hues along the edges. The luscious bouquet exhibits dark berry aromas intertwined with notes of cocoa, vanillin, violets and espresso. The complex palate is filled with dark cherry, mulberry and blueberry flavours effortlessly fusing with nuances of mint, spicy clove, dark chocolate and truffle. Elegant, mouth coating tannins combine with the supporting acidity and palate flavours, leading to a delicate and lingering raspberry liquorice finale. This intense and flavoursome wine is a suitable match with lamb racks, rare roast beef and Asian barbecued pork.
