Pretty Good

This enticing South Oaks Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc is a bright straw hued wine. A whiff of the wine presents ripe tropical fruit scents of mango, lychee, passionfruit and citrus, complemented by mesmerising aromas of honeycomb, dry herbs, lime leaf and roasted hazelnut. Chalky mineral notes integrate with the generous palate to offer a rich and creamy mouthfeel. This wonderful Sauv Blanc ends in a balanced, intense and seamless finale. Serve this fantastic white wine from Auntsfield with fried chicken, zucchini patties and crab cakes.

WINERY INFORMATION

David Herd, recognised as the founding winemaker of the Marlborough region, planted his first grapevines in 1873 and established Auntsfield Estate. David continued to produce his own wines till his death in 1905. When Linda and Graeme Cowley acquired the estate, they realised that it was the very first vineyard planted in the region. The estate is presently looked after by their sons -  Luc and Ben.
