Durif is not a very popular grape variety in Australia. However, no matter if the number of its followers is a little less, they are all very loyal towards their favourite. This makes De Bortoli’sproduce wines from this variety. Deen Vat Durif 2013 hails from the famous Riverina region. It has a crimson appearance with dark maroon shades. The bouquet of this wine includes ripe blueberries, plum and liquorice with hints of chocolate and oak. The rich palate has flavours of dark fruits, spice and liqourice with firm tannins and integrated savoury oak. This wine makes a perfect pairing with thick cut steak, beef, herbed lamb or roasted vegetables.
