WINERY INFORMATION

Glaetzer Wines is a family owned boutique winery producing premium and elegantly styled Barossa Valley wines. The winemaking team headed by Ben Glaetzer combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern technology for the production of vibrant and outstanding quality red wines. Colin Glaetzer established the company in 1995, with the help and support of his wife Judith and three sons. The winery is located on Gomersal Road in Tanunda, South Australia.

TASTING NOTES

Glaetzer Anaperenna is a blend of 76% Shiraz with 24% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, resulting in an opaque purple hued wine. The scintillating nose flaunts attractive aromas of blueberries, dark fruits, cassis and coffee beans. Fine grained tannins are supported by dark cherry flavours and cedar spice undertones on the textured palate, leading this enticing red blend to a delicate and lingering finish. With a cellaring potential of 20 or more years, this wonderful red wine tastes marvellous with smoked brisket, aged cheddar cheese, and grilled or roasted vegetables.

94 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion

"Anaperenna is never about half measures. This is warm with alcohol and high in oak influence, but the fruit is rich and boisterous and the tannin a wave worth watching. It’s a wine of both concerns and copious compensations. Chocolate and blackberry, black earth and salted liquorice. You get what you came for, and then some".
