JJ Hahn 1890's Vineyard Shiraz 2015 Barossa Valley - 6 Bottles

Availability: In stock

Pretty Good

This red was harvested from the Riedl Estate in the Barossa sub-region of Vine Vale in the 1890s. Poured into a wine glass, it flaunts deep red colour. On the nose, it emanates aromas of deep rich mocha, toffee and chocolate combined with defined oak character. The velvety palate reveals complex flavours of herbs, cloves and Shiraz fruit. The tannins are veneered, smooth and soft with a lingering persistence. You may pair it with beef or lamb dishes.

The grapes used to craft this super-premium Shiraz were sourced from low yielding, Ancestor vines planted in the 1890s in the Barossa sub-region. JJ Hahn label was born in 1997 in a joint venture between the Hahn family and Rolf Binder. Over the years the brand grew quickly, with wines such as the 1914 and 1918 Shiraz receiving noteworthy accolades. In 2010, the Hahns retired from the business and Rolf retained co-ownership of the brand, winemaking and vineyard management.
