WHY DO WE LIKE THIS WINE

Wine Description:- Killerby maintains its small winery essence with most of its winemaking techniques and philosophies remaining the same since it was first established in 1973. The vines are hand pruned, select parcels of fruit are partially hand picked, the wine made using small batch techniques, highest quality of French oak barriques and obsessive attention to winemaking detail. Vineyard Notes:- Our winemakers carefully select grapes from several vineyards in the Margaret River region. Harvesting Notes:- Fruit was harvested in the early morning Winemaking Notes:- The grapes were gently crushed, chilled and pressed before racking and ferment. Fermentation was undertaken at cold temperatures with a range of yeast lees post erment for 4-8 weeks prior to filtration and an early bottling. WINE CHARACTERISTICS:- Colour:- Pale green. Nose:- Aromas of passionfruit, gooseberry and grapefruit. Palate:- Fresh Margaret River varietal passionfruit and modest grassy flavours, zesty lemon and a long cleansing finish. Cellaring Notes:- Drink now. Food Pairing:- Grilled seafood on the BBQ.
