Pretty Good

A wine with a dark inky red colour emanating a fragrant spicy perfume lifted on the nose. The palate is complex with a youthful display of dark fruit, while an exotic spice and fresh acidity elegantly balance the fine tannins. The chocolate, dark berry and spice notes are typical of Clare Valley Shiraz, and so is the delightful thrill of fresh red berries. You must enjoy it with lamb or goat.

In 1975, Andrew Mitchell took over his father Peter McNicol Mitchell’s legacy and established Mitchell wines. He used both traditional and modern winemaking methods along with his newfound learnings to Mitchell wines with his wife, Jane by his side. Gradually, they became a recognised and highly respected duo in the South Australian wine industry. From modest beginnings to Andrew and Jane’s business mind and passion for winemaking, to the next generation of Mitchell Wines, their three children, Hilary, Angus and Edwina have come into the business taking up their own distinct roles.
