Its palate is rich and mouth filling, packed with spices and a tinge of oak char, and framed by a good acid backbone. Preceded by silky tannins, it ends on a long and sated finish. This wine, dignified as it is, goes well with a steak dinner, or game birds.

Located well over 200 to 400 meters above sea level, Nanny Goat Vineyard houses sturdy vines growing amongst the rocky ridges and escarpments, sometimes precariously clinging to steep slopes. This area has an unusual terroir due to climactic extremes – hot summers and bitter-cold winters. Notwithstanding, winemaker Alan Peters-Oswald is still able to craft premium wines with regional distinction and vibrancy.
