This James Halliday 5 star rated winery is working wonders under the leadership of 3 skilled wine pioneers from Margaret River – grower Rob Tincey, viticulturist Andy Ferreira, and wine enthusiast Ray Anderson. Since Andy is an experienced and learned viticulturist, he has always stressed upon the advantages of ‘night harvest’ (hence, the name of the company).
This Reserve Alicante Bouschet from Night Harvest is an exceptional red wine. It displays bright purple hues when poured in a glass, with light red tinges visible along the edges. Scintillating aromas of blueberry jam, gravel and brambles flow off its luxurious nose, meshing with notes of violets, plum pudding and chocolate. The delicate and intense palate is brimming with flavours of forest fruits as well as pipe smoke, leading a deep and earthy climax. This robust red wine can either be consumed upon release, or be cellared for a few years to allow it to mellow down. Feta cheese and turkey are a few suggested food matches to this wine.
