Paisley Clurichaun Mataro 2016 Barossa Valley - 6 Bottles
Availability: In stock
This single-vineyard Mataro was aged for 20 months in 25% new French oak barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration, it showcases a purple-red colour. The bouquet reveals savoury fruit and earth aromas along with Indian spices like cloves and cardamom. These lovely fragrances are followed by a complex palate offering blueberries, blackberries and subtle Kalamata olive nuances. An impressive mouthfeel and texture is added by grainy tannins, making way for a lingering climax with berry fruit and roasted meat flavours. You may enjoy this wine with beef stew or chargrilled steak.

A boutique winery in the Barossa Valley, Paisley Wines is a family-owned and -operated business established by Derek Fitzgerald and Kirsten Harvey. They started with the production of 3 grape varieties, Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, first vintage being released in 2017. The brand, eventually, has earned a reputation for its elegant wines that mirror the characteristics of the fruit and the land.
