Pretty Good

This delightful War Horse Shiraz displays a deep red colour lined by violet hues. Pleasing aromas of spicy plum and briary blackberry fuse with gentle suggestions of nutmeg, vanilla, red frangipani and black olive to offer a luxurious bouquet. A sip of the wine offers luscious flavours of cranberry, spicy mulberry, dark chocolate, red liquorice, star anise, cedary oak and morello cherry. These flavours and fragrances are supported by a firm line of structural tannins and oak to culminate in an extended finale. This tempting Shiraz tastes impressive with foods like ravioli Osso Buco with salsa verde and eye fillet with Persian feta cheese.

WINERY INFORMATION

Located around 40 km from Adelaide, the Pirramimma Winery produces internationally renowned wines. Winemaker Geoff Johnston’s award-winning Petit Verdot vintages have prompted the reputed ‘WeinWisser’ magazine to ask if there is a better Petit Verdot in the world. The company was established by Geoff’s grandfather, Alexander Campbell Johnston in the year 1892. It has been appropriately managed and owned by the Johnstons ever since.
