The winemaking philosophy is one that aims to allow the fruit to have a full expression with winemaking and oak inputs playing a supporting role. The grapes for the Redline Shiraz were gently destemmed before fermentation in a combination of stainless steel and concrete fermenters. The wine was matured in a range of mainly older French oak barriques, where it remained for 10 months prior to bottling.This wine has a deep plum-red colour. The nose displays dark berry fruit, with dark cocoa and subtle oak complexity. The palate shows rich dark fruit melded with fine soft tannins making it a wine that is approachable now but that will also develop with 1-2 years cellaring.
