WHY DO WE LIKE THIS WINE

Willow Bridge Estate is known for the amazing quality and value of their wines, and the Dragonfly Shiraz 2015 vintage perfectly embodies this reputation. This wine displays a youthful red to purple hue in the glass. These vibrant colours give rise to enticing aromas of sweet spices and dark chocolate followed by flavours of dark plums, blueberry and lashings of vanilla along with mild nuances of baking spices. In a fairly quintessential fashion, it brings an upfront presence on the palate of sweet plum, light oak cedar and blackberry fruit along with fine, nutty tannins building on the finish and a dusting of spice that contrasts the wine’s darker savoury notes. It is best suited for medium term drinking and cellaring of up to six years. This delectable wine is made to pair perfectly with roast beef, lamb, spicy foods, and mature and hard cheeses.

WINERY INFORMATION The leading winery in Western Australia’s Geographe region, Willow Bridge Estate was established in 1997.It produces a wide range of wines from primarily estate-grown fruit and is consistently regarded by wine critics as a state of the art winery creating elegant and flavoursome wines. The making of the Dragonfly range was pretty straightforward. Each parcel of fruit was fermented on skins for a number of days, and then drained, pressed, and fermented before being matured for twelve months in Bordeaux coopered French oak barrels.
