The Annie’s Lane winery, situated in the Clare Valley wine region was named so when Annie Wayman brought along a horse and cart which got bogged along a vineyard’s boundary while she was delivering hot food and drinks to the pruners of the vineyard in the early - 1900s. Thus, it seemed just and reasonable to name a vineyard after the lady who selflessly served the workers and pruners of the Clare Valley region. The estate is a reputed winery and is known for producing elegant and delicious wines that portray varietal as well as regional character. Fruit for these wines is sourced from some of the oldest vineyards in Clare Valley. A varietal range of flavoursome reds as well as juicy white wines are sold under the Annie’s Lane label while a limited - release range of super - premium wines are also available under the name of Copper Trail.
