Grasshopper Rock specialises in producing affordable premium Central Otago Pinot Noir. The tiny 8-hectare vineyard, owned by the five founding families, is a boutique quality-focused business with a reputation for producing excellent pinot noir at a great price. Despite Grasshopper Rock's growing reputation and claims, the vineyard may potentially be of Grand Cru quality, the winery wants the wine to remain accessible to New Zealanders.
