Brothers David and Matthew Lloyd are third generational McLaren Vale vignerons, with strong links with the local community. After many years of owning and developing vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and nearby Kangarilla, it was the opportunity in 2001 to purchase a 70 acre Olive Grove, in the highly sort after Seaview sub-region of McLaren Vale, that brought their shared vision to a reality. The brothers considered this property to offer some of the finest terroirs in the district and provided the ideal home to create their own boutique, handcrafted range of wines. It was by good fortune that after deciding to crush the olives grown from the older trees on the Estate into oil, that they were able to fully understand and appreciate what these historic olive trees were able to offer.
